L-Acoustics Kiva II for Gargždai Cultural Centre in Lithuania

The Gargždai Cultural Centre in Lithuania has upgraded its sound reinforcement system with a state-of-the-art L-Acoustics Kiva II line array, implemented as part of a comprehensive technical renovation to enhance performance quality and audience experience.

The new system, engineered for exceptional clarity and uniform sound coverage, features compact and lightweight Kiva II elements paired with SB15m subwoofers.
Kiva II is a modern modular line array element weighing just 14 kg, offering a wide 100° horizontal dispersion and delivering up to 138 dB of peak SPL, ensuring consistent tonal performance even in challenging acoustic environments. Its combination of small footprint and high output makes it ideal for multipurpose cultural venues such as Gargždai.
Additional KS21i subwoofers are integrated into the stage barrier in specially designed locations and powered by LA12X amplified controllers. The setup also includes 112P active monitor loudspeakers.

The installation was completed by StS, a Lithuanian company specializing in professional audio-visual integration and system design.

VGD Project, the official L-Acoustics distributor in the region, supported the project by providing equipment supply and technical coordination, ensuring that the system met all performance and compliance requirements. With extensive experience in cultural and performance venues, STS ensured precise system calibration and seamless integration to meet both technical and artistic expectations.

The venue hosts a wide range of events — from theatrical performances, concerts, and film screenings to community festivals and regional conferences — all of which benefit from the system’s high intelligibility, musical transparency, and consistent tonal balance. The upgrade has transformed the Cultural Centre into a versatile, rider-compliant performance space, capable of accommodating both spoken-word productions and dynamic live music with precision and warmth.
